- Died: 5 Mar 1865, Tarentum, Allegheny Co., PA, at age 22 2,3,4
- Buried: 11 Mar 1865, Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge, Allegheny Co., PA 2,3,4
General Notes:
Jeremiah's birth date, death date, burial date and death place were found in the Prospect Cemetery records. Cause of death was pulmonary consumption.
-From a letter written by him (source: National Archives, in my file) requesting discharge from Civil War service, he stated that he was a POW and was very ill. Surgeon's certificate states lung problem, so it is assumed that he eventually died as a result of his imprisonment in the Civil War and subsequent illness.
Buried in Lot 6, Section "C."
