Mrs. Samuel H. Black Mrs. Flora May Lancaster Black, 60, wife of Samuel H. Black, died at 1:56 a.m. today at her home, 328 Archer Ave., following an illness of several months.
Mrs. Black was born in Lonaconing, Mich**, on April 25, 1877, but had spend most of her life in McKeesport. She was a member of the West Side M.E. Church, the Women's Auxiliary of the church, the Y.M.C.A. Ladies Auxiliary, the Y.M.C.A. Women's Civic Club and was one of the adult leaders in Boy Scout Troop No. 11.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Irene Swanson and Mrs. Hazel Brown, both of McKeesport, Mrs. Erda Kayser*, of Wilkinsburg, the Misses Helen and Dorothy, at home, Ney, Elmer and Gene at home, Alvin, of McKeesport, and Kenneth of Steubenville.
One sister Mrs. Elizabeth Libengood, of McKeesport, and four grandchildren, also survive.
Friends are being received at the Hunter-Edmunson-Striffler Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the West Side M.E. Church in charge of the Rev. Harold E. Miller. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
